Florence Yuan
MA, LPC, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Florence moved to the U.S. for undergraduate studies and earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Texas at Austin. From navigating identity challenges in high school to adapting to life in a new country in her early twenties, Florence experienced firsthand the complexities of self-discovery, relational struggles, and the transition to adulthood.

Through her personal journey of seeking help in counseling and serving in the college student community in the last six years, Florence decided to pursue a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling (MACMHC). Florence earned her degree through Liberty University and became licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio in the summer of 2023. Florence is now practicing under the supervision of Lynn King, LPCC-S.

Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Florence brings a unique and culturally sensitive perspective to her counseling practice. Her goal is to create a safe space where clients can freely explore their emotions and thoughts, feeling heard and understood. Florence is dedicated to empowering individuals on their journey toward the positive change they want to see in life. She views counseling as a pathway to help people uncover their strengths and acquire tools to navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, grief, identity confusion, life transitions, and other tough situations.

Florence loves connecting with people, soaking in the beauty of nature, and cherishing those quiet moments. You will often spot her at a cozy coffee shop, exploring the trails in the woods, or getting lost in the pages of a fun book.
